Men's Tennis Concludes Action at ITA Regional Tournament

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Michigan State men's tennis team concluded action today, Sunday, at the ITA Midwest Championships in Columbus, Ohio. The Spartans fell in their final match of the tournament, as sophomore Aaron Pfister and senior Austin Brooks were topped by No. 2 seeded Rola and Smith of Ohio State 8-6 in the doubles quarterfinals. The duo won three victories before falling to the Buckeye tandem.
MSU earned a combined seven victories in singles play over the weekend, with three of the six Spartans competing in the main draw winning their first-round match. In doubles play, all five of the Spartan duos competing earned first-round victories, as Pfister and Brooks won an additional two to advance to the quarterfinal round.
The Spartans will continue action in their final fall tournament at the Big Ten Indoor Championships Oct. 28-31 in Iowa City, Iowa.
