Today marked the first time since Jan. 8 against Penn State that MSU has led its opponent at half. The Spartans are 8-1 on the season when holding a halftime lead.
Michigan State improves to 10-2 at home this season with its win over the Nittany Lions.
Today marked the first time since MSU's 84-83 win over Indiana (Jan. 30) that it has lead its opponent in points-in-the-paint. The Spartans held a 32-22 advantage over Penn State. MSU is 9-3 this when leading its opponent in paint points and 4-8 when it does not.
MSU is now 5-0 on the year when shooting 505 or above from the field.
The Spartans have improved their record to 11-4 this season when they outshoot their opponent.
When Michigan State has outrebounded its opponent this season, it is 10-4.

Draymond Green became MSU's third player in program history to tally a triple-double with 15 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists against Penn State. Green tied his career-best assist mark of seven by half. Green's triple-double was the first by a Spartan since Nov. 19, 2000 when Charlie Bell had 13 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists against Oakland in the opening game of the season. Earvin "Magic" Johnson leads all MSU players with eight career triple-doubles. MSU is 10-6 on the year and 26-12 all-time when Green leads the team in rebounds. The Green and White is also 7-5 this season and 17-8 overall when he has a team-high assists. Green has had double-digit points in all but four games this season with MSU going 14-6 in those contests. Green's 14 rebounds is a season-best total while his assists mark is a career-best.
Kalin Lucas scored a team-best 24 points. MSU is 6-4 this year and 30-11 when he leads the team in scoring. The Spartans are also overall 76-21 and 11-6 in 2010-11 when he has double-figure scoring. Lucas tied his career-best 3-point field goal mark tonight against Penn State with four, the fifth different occurrence in his career. His seven 3-point attempts also ties a career-high which have happened three times. Lucas set career-high 14 free three attempts tonight against the Nittany Lions, while his 10 made free throws ties his personal-best for the fourth time.
Adreian Payne's two blocks against Penn State tie his career-best for the sixth time.
Delvon Roe recorded double-digit scoring numbers for the seventh time this year (6-1) and the 22nd time in his career (20-2). His 15 points is 1-point shy of his career-best total set last against Purdue (1/22/11). His six made field goals ties his career-high for the fifth time.
Garrick Sherman for the sixth time tied his Big Ten-high of one made free throw as well as his conference-high of two free throw attempts for the fifth time.
Durrell Summers tied his season-high assist mark with one against Penn State.
