EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State men's tennis team will feature a student-athlete every week this spring in attempt to "Meet the Spartans". This week freshman Gijs Linders (Amsterdam, Netherlands) sat down with msuspartans.com to answer some questions about why he chose to come to Michigan State and how he's enjoyed his first year here. Linders currently leads the Spartans in wins in singles play with a 15-7 record while playing on courts three through six. He also has an 11-6 record in doubles play, playing on all three courts.

Nickname and why: G because my first name is too hard to pronounce

Major: Supply Chain Management, with a minor in International Business
Best thing about being at MSU: I get the best out of myself along with having fun and getting a degree
Favorite class: Any business related class
Favorite movie: Training Day, American Gangster; basically all of Denzel Washington's movies
Favorite food: Italian
Favorite restaurant: Any classic Italian restaurant
Special talent: Dutch accent
Pets: Guinea Pig named Nero

What do you want to be when you grow up: A successful businessman
