Spartan Invitational Track & Field Meet Information
Friday & Saturday April 6-7, 2012
MEET INFORMATION
Scoring: The Spartan Invitational is a non-scored meet.
Location: Ralph Young Track and Field Facility at the corner of Shaw Lane and Chestnut Road (Southwest of Spartan Football Stadium). The hammer, discus and javelin will be contested at Munn Field directly across Chestnut Road from the track. High Jump and Pole Vault (and possibly Long and Triple Jump) will be contested in our indoor facility, Jenison Field House (opposite corner of Kalamzoo and Dem Hall.
Parking: Stadium Lot located directly east of the Track.
Entry Fee:
• $350 for combined programs
• $200 per gender for split programs
• $15 for unattached collegiate athletes (e.g., MSU-Unattached)
• $20 for post-collegiate. Please make checks payable to: "Michigan State University"
• MSU students can compete for free with a valid student I.D.

Heat Sheets: Heat sheets, morning sections and final meet schedule will be posted Friday morning
Deadline: 5:00 PM, Wednesday April 4
Packet Pick-up: At main entrance to the track. Entry fees will also be collected at this location.
Implement Weigh-In & Inspection: (for ALL throwing implements)
Friday: 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM
Saturday: 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM. At the track shed located at the Southeast corner of the track (by main entrance).
Equipment: ¼" maximum spike length, starting blocks will be provided
Trainers: Michigan State Sports Medicine Staff will be available. Trainers from schools will have access to the training area.
Check-in: Field event athletes check-in at the competition site 30 minutes prior to start of scheduled competition. Track event athletes check-in with the clerk of the course no less than 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of event.
