
Meet the Spartans: Athena Trouillot

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State women's tennis team began its 2014 season last weekend by sweeping Toledo 7-0 and defeating Detroit 6-1. In an attempt to "Meet the Spartans," msuspartans.com will feature a student-athlete every week throughout the season. Freshman Athena Trouillot (Miami, Fla.) is featured this week. In her Spartan debut, Trouillot tallied a 2-0 record on the No. 5 singles court. Dating back to the fall schedule, Trouillot is on a five match winning streak in singles. In doubles, Trouillot teamed with junior Catherine Parenteau and they fell to Toledo but rebounded to defeat Detroit.
