
Mullane and Linders advance to Round of 16

MINEAPOLIS, Minn. -- Gijs Linders and John Patrick Mullane are in the Round of 16 for singles in the Big Ten Indoor Championships.
The No. 4 seed, Mullane earned a first round bye before topping Ohio State's Matt Mendez, 5-7, 6-3, 6-4. Linus Erhart of Nebraska is Mullane's opponent in the Round of 16 on Sunday.
Linders, the No. 16 seed, is matched up with Iowa's Dominic Patrick on Sunday. Linders defeated John Zordani of Wisconsin, 6-2, 7-5, in the first round and then beat Minnesota's Jeremy Lynn, 6-0, 7-6 (4)
The Spartans earned a 7-7 record, overall on the day.
