Spartans Host Open Campus, Erg & Cox Clinics

East Lansing, Michigan -- Michigan State's rowing program will host a pair of events that will introduce high school athletes to Michigan State University as well as its rowing program.

On Friday, January 30, the program will host its Open Campus, which allows high school students to spend the day exploring campus, meeting our academics and athletics staff, touring athletic facilities, learning how to become a Spartan, and getting to know the Spartan rowing team. This event is open to any high school student and their parents. This event is free, with lunch and dinner available for purchase at the campus dining halls, which is part of the tour (visitor rate: $10/person)
On Saturday, January 31, the rowing program will host a Cox and Erg Clinic at Jenison Field House. Open to any current high school student (regardless of rowing experience) as well as high school coaches, participants will work with the MSU coaching staff to bring erging and coxing skills to the next level. Learn mental strategies for race day, as well as training tricks and nutrition habits that will give you an edge in your performance. Clinic cost is $35 per person, and lunch is included for all participants.
