EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State (23-8, 12-6 Big Ten) has earned the No. 3 seed and a first-round bye in this week's Big Ten Tournament at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, and will play Friday night at approximately 9 p.m. on BTN against the winner of Thursday's Iowa-Northwestern contest.
The sixth-seeded Hawkeyes (20-11, 9-9) will play the 11th-seeded Wildcats (13-18, 6-12) Thursday at approximately 9 p.m. on ESPN2.
Michigan State defeated both Iowa and Northwestern twice this season.
The Spartans are seeking their fourth Big Ten Tournament title (1999, 2000, 2012).
