MSU's Zach Carroll Soccer All-Region Honors

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State senior defender Zach Carroll was named to the All-Midwest Region second team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America this week.

This is the second All-Region selection for Carroll, who was named to the third team last season. The Grand Blanc, Michigan, native also earned first team All-Big Ten honors this season for the first time in his career.
In 2015, Carroll anchored the MSU backline, appearing in 16 games while tallying two goals and two assists. Both of his goals were game-winners, coming at Portland on Aug. 28 and at home against West Virginia on Sept. 7.
In two seasons in the Spartan Green and White, Carroll started 38 of the 39 games in which he played. In his MSU career, he scored seven goals and added four assists, playing over 3,000 minutes.
The men's soccer team concluded its season with an 8-9-2 record.
