Spartan Fund Renewal Period Begins

March 17, 2015 On March 16, the Spartan Fund - the fundraising unit of MSU Athletics - announced the start of its renewal period (March 16 - June 30, 2015) in support of its mission to enhance the experience for nearly 800 Spartan student-athletes in the classroom, in competition, and in the community.

From David Zoltowski (men's swimming and diving) earning the Churchill and Goldwater Scholarships, to a comeback win at the Cotton Bowl for MSU football, to a National Championship in women's cross country, donor support provides these extraordinary platforms for student-athletes to succeed and for Spartans across the globe to celebrate that success.

In October 2014, MSU Athletics announced a $262 million fundraising goal as part of Empower Extraordinary, the Campaign for Michigan State University. Thanks largely to the more than 16,000 donors who contributed to a record-breaking fundraising year in fiscal year 2013-2014, MSU Athletics has been able to move forward with a number of initiatives that have not only benefitted Spartan student-athletes, but the experience of fans as well, including:

• North End Zone Expansion

• Munn Ice Arena Renovations

• Golf Complex

• Duffy Daugherty renovations (football)

• Berkowitz Center renovations (basketball)
