Spartans Look to Bear Down in Texas

Michigan State will face of against Baylor University tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET in the first head-to-head contest between the two universities.
With head coach Paul Jobson in his eight year at Baylor, the Bears are coming off a 2-1 double overtime loss to the University of South Florida Aug. 21.
One of the major players the Michigan State's defense will need to focus on limiting will be senior forward Bri Campos, the Bears' points and goals leader from last year, who was selected 2015 preseason All-Big 12 Team.
Jobson has a 78-43-24 overall record at Baylor.
The Spartans opened their season with a 2-0 against Niagara University, featuring freshman Michaela Kovacs and junior Marisa Oleksiak goals.
Senior Gabrielle Gauruder earned her first shutout of the season against Niagara.
The Baylor contest marks the first game transfer goalkeeper Kaitlyn Collin will be eligible for participation, and Michigan State head coach calls her a "contender" for playing time.
