
Tennis Adds Four for 2017-18

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State men's tennis team has announced that it will welcome four freshman to the roster for the 2017-18 season, bringing in one the largest classes in many years. MSU welcomes John Carlin, Josh Mukherjee, Jack Winkler and Davis Wong. All four have signed their National Letters of Intent to enroll at Michigan State next fall.
"The Spartans inked one of our biggest and strongest recruiting classes in recent years," said head coach Gene Orlando. "We are excited to welcome four new players to our Spartan Tennis Family."
John Carlin - Fort Meyers, Florida - Fort Meyers High School
4-star recruit ... Ranked 60th in the country, and seventh in the state of Florida according to Tennis Recruiting ... Son of John and Denise Carlin.

Josh Mukherjee - Bloomfield Hills, Michigan - Bloomfield High School
5-star recruit ... Highest ranking of 43 nationally in the senior class ... Ranked No. 1 in the state of Michigan according to Tennis Recruiting ... Son of Jay and Sharmistha Mukherjee.

Jack Winkler - Birmingham, Michigan - Brother Rice High School
Ranked 131st in the country and No. 4 in the state of Michigan according to Tennis Recruiting.
Coach Orlando's thoughts: "Talented with all the tools to be a great college player! He has been climbing the national ranks each year!"
Davis Wong - West Bloomfield, Michigan - West Bloomfield High School
Ranked 54th in the country and No. 2 in the state of Michigan according to Tennis Recruiting ... Son of Anthony and Lynn.
