• Eron Harris led all scorers with 20 points on 6-of-14 shooting from the field and 5-of-11 from three. It was Harris' second 20-plus point effort of the season and 17th of his career.
• Point guards Cassius Winston and Tum Tum Nairn tallied 14 of the Spartans' 19 assists and combined for just two turnovers. Winston had nine helpers for the third consecutive game and the freshman has led MSU in assists in six games this season.
• MSU led wire-to-wire in the contest and Michigan State's first four field goals of the game were three-pointers to help the Spartans jump out to a 12-4 lead.
• Kyle Ahrens grabbed a career-high seven rebounds to lead MSU to a 34-30 advantage on the glass.
• Tennessee Tech's 14 turnovers tied the most by an MSU opponent this season, and the Spartans turned that into 15 points at the other end. Michigan State also held a 21-12 advantage on the fast break.
