• Matt Van Dyk, Nick Ward and Cassius Winston all made their first career start and the Spartans fielded their fifth different starting lineup of the season.
• Nick Ward led all scorers with a career-high 25 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the floor to go along with a game-high nine rebounds.
• Eron Harris tallied double-digit points for the seventh consecutive game and 10th time this season. 11 of his 15 points came in the second half and MSU is now 8-2 this when the redshirt senior scores more than 10 points.
• Michigan State forced a season-high 21 turnovers, led by Eron Harris, who tied his career high with three steals.
• Leading 41-39 with 17:23 in the second half, the Spartans went on an 11-2 run to open up a 52-41 lead with 11:52 to go.
• MSU attempted a season-high 37 free throws, led by Ward, who went 11-for-17 from the stripe.
