Spartan Baseball Adds One for 2017

EAST LANSING - Michigan State head baseball coach Jake Boss announced today (March 4) that Zac Bianucci will be joining the Spartans in the fall of 2016. Bianucci is a left-handed pitcher from Naperville (Illinois) Central High School.
Bianucci joins seven other student-athletes that signed National Letters of Intent in November, including: Sam Benschoter (Tecumseh, Michigan/Tecumseh), Danny Gleaves (Homer Glen, Illinois/St. Rita), Bryce Kelly (Rockford, Michigan/Rockford), Mike Mokma (Zeeland, Michigan/Holland Christian), Joe Stewart (Portage, Michigan/Portage Central), Mitchell Tyranski (Birmingham, Michigan/Brother Rice), and Mason Erla (Cass City, Michigan/Cass City).

Will be a three-year letterwinner for coach Mike Stock at Naperville Central ... As a junior last season he led Naperville Central to the regional championship ... As the team's closer he was a perfect 13-for-13 in save situations and averaged 1.3 strikeouts per inning ... He led the team to the conference championship as a sophomore in 2014 ... Selected MSU over Georgetown, Wake Forest, Cornell and Valparaiso.
