• Tonight's win was Tom Izzo's 300th win at the Breslin Center and 250th career Big Ten win, as the head coach trails only Bob Knight (353) and Gene Keady (265) for the most Big Ten victories.
• MSU played its fifth ranked team of the season and 210th game against a ranked opponent since 1997-98, good for the most in the nation during that stretch.
• Michigan State improves to 68-59 all-time vs. Minnesota, including a 42-20 advantage in games played in East Lansing, and the Spartans have now won 17 of the last 20 games against the Golden Gophers.
• Michigan State allowed just 17 points in the first half, the fewest by an opponent in a half since the Spartans allowed 16 in the first half vs. UMES (12/9/15). It was also the fewest point in a half by a Big Ten opponent since MSU held Northwestern to 14 points in the first half (2/10/15).
• The Spartans held the lead wire-to-wire and it was the fourth time this season that MSU never trailed in a game.
• Leading by seven with 5:30 to play in the first half, the Spartans closed out the half on a 15-0 run to head into the break with a 22-point lead.
• Minnesota shot 18.8% (3-16) from three, the lowest by a Spartan opponent this season.
• MSU shot a season-best 82.4% (14-17) from the free throw line.
• Kenny Goins grabbed a season-high nine rebounds to lead the Spartans to a 42-29 advantage on the glass.
• Miles Bridges led all scorers with 16 points and it was the most points he has scored in a game since putting up 21 vs. Wichita State (11/25).
• Joshua Langford's 13 points were the most he's scored in a Big Ten game so far this season, and his second-best scoring output of the season.
