Spartans In :60 is a new series from Michigan State athletics designed to tell the stories of our student-athletes and what shapes them, not only as competitors, but also as students and members of the MSU community.
Freshman Yurika Tanida committed to Michigan State in the spring after being in the United States less than a year. Tanida arrived on campus in the summer to begin taking English classes and prepare for the season ahead. In working on her English, academics and golf, Tanida has settled in as a student-athlete is excited about the years to come at MSU.
