Tim Ehrhardt Earns First-Team All-American Honors

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Redshirt junior Tim Ehrhardt was named First-Team All-American on Monday, March 13, by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The Addison, Ill. native, recorded a career-best jump of 5.50-meters (18-½) to nab a fourth-place finish at the 2017 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in College Station, Texas last week, March 10-11. Ehrhardt was previously seeded No. 11 in the men's pole vault prior to the championships.
Ehrhardt garnered First-Team All-American honors for the second time his career. The last time was for his accomplishments at the 2015 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships where he finished seventh in the heptathlon with 5,669 points.
The last Spartan to earn All-American honors in the men's pole vault was Brad Gebauer in 2006. Gebauer also finished fourth with a mark of 5.45-meters at the 2006 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.
Michigan State returns as a full team to open the outdoor season at the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, N.C. from March 24-25.
