Warner Selected to U23 Women's National Team

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Sophomore Lexy Warner of the Michigan State women's soccer team will join the United State U23 Women's National Team for a training camp and three matches taking on three NWSL teams at Providence Park in Portland, Ore., from March 23 - April 1.

"We are so proud that Lexi Warner has been called into the U23 National Team Camp," said head coach Tom Saxton. "It is a tremendous honor for Lexi and our program. Lexi is a dynamic force on the field and this is a well deserved invitation. I am certain she will make the best of it."
The USA opens the week against the Houston Dash on Sunday, March 26 at 5:30 p.m. ET. On Wednesday, March 29 the USA will face the Thorns at 10:30 p.m. ET. The USA closes out the tournament against the Red Stars on Saturday, April 1 at 8 p.m. ET.
Despite suffering an injury to miss one game, Warner started in 17 of the 18 games this 2016 season. With nine shots on goal she tallied two goals and one assist for a total of five points.
