MSU Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator Graham Sikes on Mokma: "Chris is a really unique kid. His talent is the first thing to catch your eye. He is 6-5 and can pitch in the 90-93 mph range with plus off-speed. He has pitched at all the high level events across the country and performed on a national stage. He is a really, really good athlete and he is uniquely competitive and confident. On top of that, he is also a great student and a really high character kid. He is a tremendous get for us. I've known the Mokma family since about 2013 or 2014, and it's really impressive to see how Chris has matured. I think Chris possesses all the pieces to become a front of the rotation guy."
MSU Assistant Coach/Pitching Coach Mark Van Ameyde on Mokma: "Chris is a tough competitor, who we expect to be a major contributor early in his college career. He's a multi-sport athlete who continues to make big improvements each year. Part of the joy of coaching here at MSU is getting to work with student-athletes and people like Chris and his family. He will be a great addition to our program and we look forward to him getting on campus next fall."
