Wrestling Crowns Two at MSU Open

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State started it's 115th wrestling season off with a bang on Saturday, November 3, with two wrestlers finishing first in their respective weight classes at the Michigan State Open at Jenison Field House. Sophomore Rayvon Foley won at 125 a season after taking second in the freshman/sophomore bracket and redshirt freshman Cameron Caffey took first at 184 after winning the freshman/sophomore bracket a year ago. Final brackets from the event are linked above.
The Spartans earned four top three finishes in the open bracket and had another three in the freshman/sophomore bracket. Freshman Peyton Omania and Layne Malczewski took second in their respective weight classes in the freshman/sophomore bracket.
