Earned first-team All-Conference and All-District honors as a sophomore in helping Strongsville to OHSAA Division I state baseball championship game, falling to Massillon Jackson . . . Rated as the No. 2 outfielder and No. 3 overall player in Ohio by Prep Baseball Report ... Rated as the No. 24 outfielder and No. 134 overall player in the country by PBR . . . Played summer league for Team Ohio and the Lake Erie Warhawks . . . A member of the SHS Math Honor's Society and four-time recipient of the Academic Excellence award, ranked in the top 15 percent of his class academically . . . Son of Will Frank and Rene Atkinson . . . His father played baseball at Albany . . . Undecided on an intended major at MSU, but has career ambition to be a personal-business owner whenever his baseball career is over . . . I was first told about Jack through my college coach, Dave Pastors, who works with youth in the Cleveland Area. I trust Dave's opinion wholeheartedly, so when I went and saw Jack play I was not disappointed. Jack has improved his game in every single area over the last two years. The one thing he has always been good at is hitting and he has become a very dangerous hitter. He has natural timing and coordination at the plate and he is a really strong kid, which is a good combo. On top of his physical talents, he is also a 3.9 GPA student. Jack brings a high level, left-handed bat that can hit for average and power and will also be able to impact a game with his speed. He is going to be a great addition to our club."
