COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Michigan State men's golf team is 5-over-par 573 (285-288) after two complete rounds and in second place at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate in Columbus, Ohio. The Spartans were one of eight teams in the 16-team field to have completed both of their rounds on Saturday, as the second round was suspended due to darkness. The remainder of the teams will complete their second rounds Sunday at 8:30 a.m. at the par-71 OSU Scarlet Course.

No. 13 Illinois is in the lead at 3-over-par and will complete its second round on Sunday morning. Purdue, at 6-over-par, and Ohio State, at 8-over-par, are in third and fourth place, respectively, and will also complete their second rounds tomorrow. Penn State is the closest team to the Spartans that completed both rounds and is 9-over-par 577 (286-291) and in fifth place.
Michael Sharp had one of his best days of the season on Saturday as he's in first place at 5-under-par 137 after a pair of rounds under par. Sharp tied his season best with a 4-under-par 67 in round one and followed it with a 1-under-par 70 in the second round.
Kaleb Johnson is tied for ninth place at 1-over-par 143. Johnson shot an even-par 71 to open the day and then a 1-over-par 72 in the afternoon.
James Piot and Andrew Walker are both 6-over-par 148 and tied for 34th place. Piot shot a pair of 3-over-par 74s, while Walker was 2-over-par 73 and then 4-over-par 75.
Charlie Green is 8-over-par 150 (78-72).
Austin Jenner, who is playing individually, shot a 7-over-par 78 in the opening round and will complete his second round tomorrow.
Players needing to finish the second round will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start and the third round tee times will also begin at 8:30. After the players finish the second round, they will fall in line with their posted tee time.
