Spartans 12th Through Two Rounds at the Rudolph Championship

FRANKLIN, Tennessee -- The Michigan State women's golf team is in 12th place after two-plus rounds of play at the Mason Rudolph Championship in Franklin, Tennessee. MSU shot a 14-over-par 302 in round two at the Vanderbilt Legends Club and began play in round three before it was suspended due to storms and rain. The Spartans are 2-over-par in the final round with approximately half of the holes remaining to play on Sunday when play is schedule to resume at 10 a.m. ET. For the tournament, MSU is currently 22-over-par.
Host Vanderbilt leads the tournament at 15-under-par – 11 shots ahead of second place Wake Forest.
After firing an even-par 72 on Friday, sophomore Yurika Tanida shot a 2-under-par 70 in the second round on Saturday. She bogeyed the first hole (No. 11), but birdied the next hole and recorded 14 pars and two birdies over the final 16 holes. Tanida is 2-under-par with seven holes to go in round three and is tied for fifth place at 4-under-par for the tournament.
Allyson-Geer Park shot a 4-over-par 76 in round two. Geer-Park 2-over-par with six holes to play in the final round and tied for 36th place overall at 6-over-par.
Paz Marfa Sans carded a 6-over-par 78 in round two. She's 2-over-par through nine holes in round three and 7-over-par for the tournament.
Haylin Harris shot a 6-over-par 78 in the second round and is 1-over-par with half of her third round to complete on Sunday.
Valery Plata had an 8-over-80 in the second round; she's 1-over-par with eight holes to go in round two.
Vanderbilt's Abbey Carlson is 13-under-par for the tournament and two shots ahead Emily Migliaccio of wake Forest.
Host Vanderbilt leads the tournament at 15-under-par – 11 shots ahead of second place Wake Forest.
