Spartans Hold First Practice of 2018-19 Season

East Lansing, Mich. – The Michigan State men's basketball team conducted its first official practice of the 2018-19 season on Wednesday, Sept. 26.
Prior to the practice, head coach Tom Izzo talked about the excitement that surrounds the team as he enters his 24th season. Michigan State went 30-5 last year and won the Big Ten Regular Season title. The Spartans, who return three starters and welcome five newcomers, have been selected among the top-25 teams in the country in several preseason projections.
Michigan State opens the regular season on Tuesday, Nov. 6, playing Kansas in the Champions Classic in Indianapolis. The Spartans will hold their annual Midnight Madness event on Friday, Oct. 5.
