East Lansing, Mich. – Junior guard Cassius Winston (Detroit, Mich./University of Detroit Jesuit) scored 14 points and handed out seven assists, leading five players in double figures as No. 6 Michigan State pulled away for a 69-55 win over No. 13 Maryland on Monday night at the Breslin Center.
Redshirt senior Kenny Goins (Troy, Mich./Warren Mott) finished with a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds, freshman Aaron Henry (Indianapolis, Ind./Ben Davis) scored a career-high 12 points, senior guard Matt McQuaid (Duncanville, Texas/Duncanville) added 10 points, three rebounds and three assists and sophomore forward Xavier Tillman (Grand Rapids, Mich./GR Christian) tallied 10 points, three rebounds and five blocked shots.

Michigan State, winners of 12-straight games and 17 of its last 18 overall, improves to 17-2 overall and 8-0 in the Big Ten, while Maryland falls to 17-4 overall and 7-2 in league play. The win was Michigan State's 20th-straight conference win dating back to last season, extending its school record for conference wins.
