
Spartan Baseball Hosting Several Clinics This Winter

Different opportunities for player development.
EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State's baseball staff will host a number of upcoming camps and clinics throughout the winter.
Two separate Advanced Hitting Clinics will be held on Sunday Dec. 1, 2019 from 1 – 5 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. This Hitting Clinic is for the serious ballplayer. The clinic will center on the "5 Foundations of Hitting" as well as covering the components of the "complete hitter." Included in the clinic will be lecture, drills, live batting practice and video analysis. This is a hands-on clinic where players will learn the same drills currently used by the Michigan State baseball program. The clinic will be held at MSU's Indoor Practice Facility (IPF) located at Kobs Field. (Age Limit – 12-18 years old).
The Pro Scout Development Camp which will be held on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020 and run from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. The camp will include a pro style workout (testing speed, exit velocity, arm strength, etc.) giving players the opportunity to showcase their skills and talent. Included in the clinic will be several hitting and defensive instructional/evaluating sessions. Advantages of coming to this camp include: gaining exposure in the recruiting process, acquiring valuable skills & techniques to become a better player, meeting & interacting with current MSU baseball players. Along with the entire Spartan baseball coaching staff, there will be several pro scouts in attendance evaluating players' skill set as well. The clinic will be held at MSU's Duffy Daugherty Building, located at the Skandalaris Center, and the Indoor Practice Facility (IPF) located at Kobs Field.
