Christian Krygier Named to the U.S. National Junior Team Preliminary Roster

EAST LANSING – Michigan State sophomore defenseman Christian Krygier has been named to the U.S. National Junior Team preliminary roster, USA Hockey announced on Monday. Krygier is one of 28 players on the preliminary roster that will be competing for a final spot on the 23-man roster for the 2020 World Junior Championship. The 2020 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship will take place Dec. 26, 2019-Jan. 5, 2020, in Ostrava and Trinec, Czech Republic.

The 28 players on the preliminary roster will attend camp at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Dec. 16-17, before traveling to the Czech Republic to continue preparations for the tournament. The full 23-man roster is anticipated to be announced on Dec. 24.
Krygier, a native of Novi, has played in all 16 games on the blue line for the 18th-ranked Spartans this season, recording two assists.
