Former Spartan Tim Ehrhardt Wins USA Indoor Heptathlon Title

Ehrhardt set a personal best score of 5,868 points at the USATF Indoor Championships.
Staten Island, N.Y. - Former Michigan State track & field athlete Tim Ehrhardt earned his first USA title by posting a personal best 5,868 points in the heptathlon at the USATF Indoor Championships Saturday, February 23 at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex. Â
Competing for Santa Barbara Track Club, Ehrhardt got off to a good start with consistent performances on day one to put himself in a position to make a run at the title. His high jump was his highest clearance since 2015 and energized him heading into day two where he set a personal best in the 60-meter hurdles, soared past the competition in the pole vault and ran strong in the 1000-meters to earn his first title.Â
