Pair of Spartans Named to CRCA All-Big Ten Team

EAST LANSING, Mich. --Â Michigan State seniors Meaghan Faucher and Madelyn Bagley were named to the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) All-Big Ten team, as announced by the association on Wednesday, July 10.
This award recognizes the outstanding performances of rowers and coxswains from each of then 11 Division I rowing conferences and replaces the All-Region award previously handed out by the CRCA. The Big Ten had 22 selections with student-athletes from Michigan State, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio State, Rutgers and Wisconsin represented.
Both Faucher and Bagley competed in the varsity eight at all six regattas during the 2019 season, turning in a season-best time of 6:29.17 in the finals of the Lake Wheeler invitational on April 27. MSU's varsity eight finished sixth at the Big Ten Championships with a time of 6:35.124 in May and finished the season ranked as the No. 20 team in the final USRowing/CRCA Coaches' Poll on June 10.
Faucher was named first team All-Big Ten at the Big Ten Championships while Bagley was a second team honoree. Both earned CRCA and Big Ten academic honors this season.
