Women’s Golf Releases 2019-20 Schedule

EAST LANSING – The Michigan State women's golf program has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2019-20 season. The Spartans will play nine tournaments, four in the fall and five in the spring, leading up to the 2020 Big Ten Championships at TPC River's Bend in late April.

The Spartans are opening the season at the Inverness Women's Intercollegiate, September 16-17, held at the Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio. The Club will be the host site of the 2021 LPGA Solheim Cup.
The 36th annual Mary Fossum Invitational will take place Sept. 22-23 (Sunday – Monday) at Forest Akers West. The Spartans finished second at their home tournament last season, while Allyson Geer-Park tied for medalist honors.
Michigan State will return to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, for the 11th straight season to take part in the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational, Oct. 11-13.
The fall schedule will end at another familiar destination – Wilmington, North Carolina – for The Landfall Tradition at the Country Club of Landfall, Oct. 25-27.
The Spartans will restart their schedule Feb. 2-4 with the UCF Challenge at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, Florida. Two weeks later, the Spartans will be in New Orleans, Louisiana, for the Allstate Sugar Bowl at the English Turn Golf and Country Club, Feb. 16-18.
Michigan State came home with a pair of trophies at last year's Briar's Creek Invitational. The Spartans won the event by eight strokes, while Geer-Park claimed medalist honors with a school record 13-under-par 203. MSU will look to defend its title at this year's event at The Golf Club at Briar's Creek, March 16-17.
MSU will be back in the Palmetto State, March 27-29 for the Clemson Invitational, at The Reserve at Lake Keowee.
The final tuneup for the conference championship will be April 18-19 with the Lady Buckeye Invitational in Columbus, Ohio. MSU has won six Lady Buckeye titles.

This year's four NCAA Regional sites include Notre Dame, Ind.; Pullman, Wash.; Athens, Ga.; and Raleigh, N.C., and will take place May 11-13. The NCAA Championships will be played at Greyhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, May 22-27.
