Spartan Baseball Heading To Sandusky For Eventful Weekend At Sports Force Parks

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State baseball will take on Kent State in a nine-inning exhibition game on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 1 p.m. at Sports Force Parks at Cedar Point Sports Center in Sandusky, Ohio. The exhibition is the conclusion of an eventful weekend, featuring an event with the Force All Stars and a practice on Saturday, Sept. 21, before Sunday's scrimmage.
This weekend's activities includes a play day with the Force All Stars on Saturday at 11 a.m., followed by practices from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturday, in prep for Sunday's scrimmage at 1 p.m., all taking place at Sports Force Parks at Cedar Point Sports Center.
This is the third-straight season that Michigan State has participated in the weekend event in Sandusky. Last season, MSU took on Penn State. In 2017, the Spartans went to Sports Force Parks at Cedar Point Sports Center for a practice and played with the Force All Stars, a team of local special needs kids at the VacationLand Federal Credit Union Stadium.
"We're extremely excited to go back to Sandusky for the third year of this event. It's always an outstanding weekend and Sports Force Park are tremendous hosts, and our guys have a great time," MSU head coach Jake Boss Jr. said. "We are very grateful and honored to partner with Sports Force Park and MSU alum Brian Storm of Fields, Inc., for this fun weekend of events. We can't wait for another eventful and exciting weekend at Sports Force Parks."
Sports Force Parks at Cedar Point Sports Center is a youth tournament facility that brings sports, family and fun for life for all of its guests. VacationLand Federal Credit Union Stadium is Sports Force Parks at Cedar Point Sports Center's ADA-accessible field, where kids can play sports without the mental and physical barriers of a traditional field. The park also has a themed ADA-accessible playground.
A daily entrance fee to the park is $10 for guests ages five and older, $8 for seniors and free for those under the age of five. Event long admission for both days is $17 for guests ages five and older, $14 for seniors and free for those under the age of five. Tickets include unlimited use of Sports Force Parks' attractions during operating hours, which include Sky Trail and Putt-in-Bay mini golf. There will also be a youth baseball tournament that weekend in addition to the Michigan State vs. Kent State practices and exhibition game. Additionally, there will be themed games for kids to enjoy on the park's Great Lawn. Fans are encouraged to wear their team's colors!
