
Aaron Henry Named to Preseason All-Big Ten Team

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State junior men's basketball player Aaron Henry (Indianapolis, Ind./Ben Davis) was one of 10 players selected to the Preseason All-Big Ten Team on Monday.
Henry was joined on the team by Kofi Cockburn and Ayo Dosunmu of Illinois, Trayce Jackson-Davis of Indiana, Luke Garza and Joe Wieskamp of Iowa, Marcus Carr of Minnesota, Trevion Williams of Purdue, Geo Baker of Rutgers and Nate Reuvers of Wisconsin. Garza was selected as the Preseason Player of the Year.
A 6-6 junior, Henry started in 29 of 30 games last year and was third on the team in scoring (10.0 ppg) and rebounding (4.6 rpg), while averaging 2.9 assists and playing 29.1 minutes per game.
Henry, who scored a career-high 18 points against Virginia Tech in the Maui Jim Maui Invitational, reached double figures in scoring 16 times last year, including six of the last seven games of the season.
Henry, who had submitted his for consideration for the 2020 NBA Draft but ultimately decided to return to school, enters his junior season having started in 51 of 69 career games, averaging 7.8 points per game.
Michigan State finished the 2019-20 season with a 22-9 overall record, including a 14-6 mark in the Big Ten, tied for first place. The Spartans won a share of the Big Ten Regular Season for the third-straight year before the postseason was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
