
Spartans Come Up One Shot Short vs. Miami

BLUFFTON, South Carolina – The Michigan State men's golf team took on Miami University on Sunday in what was supposed to be a 36-hole dual match at Berkeley Hall Club. However, due to darkness, the second round wasn't completed, and the event was shortened to 18 holes. The RedHawks shot an even-par 288, while MSU was 1-over-par 289.
Troy Taylor II led the way for MSU, shooting a 3-under-par 69. Andrew Walker and James Piot both shot 1-over-par 73s, while Bradley Smithson carded a 2-over-par 74.
Miami's Jack Herceg topped all players with a 4-under-par 68.
Michigan State will be back in action next weekend at the TPC Dorado Beach Collegiate in Dorado, Puerto Rico.
