DES MOINES, Iowa - Michigan State's men's tennis team used a late rally to knock off Drake, 4-3, Friday inside DU's Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
The Spartans trailed 3-0 to the Bulldogs after dropping the doubles point and falling on singles courts two and five before reeling off four-straight wins, highlighted by junior John Carlin's clincher on court one to secure the victory. With the win, the Spartans improve to 5-4, while Drake falls to 2-11.
"It was a great win for the Spartans tonight," said MSU men's tennis head coach Gene Orlando. "Being down 3-0 and finding a way to win the last four matches and the last three in three sets was Spartan tough."

Bulldog duo Finley Hall and Evan Fragistas, who came into the match 3-1 in doubles, took control early over freshman Kazuki Matsuno and junior Josh Mukherjee on their way to a 6-3 win on court three. Mukherjee and Hall split the first two sets (6-4. 1-6) to force a third, where the junior cruised to a 6-3 win to cut the Drake lead to one at 3-2.
