Michigan State Men’s Basketball Game Against Illinois Postponed

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State's men's basketball game against Illinois on Saturday, Jan. 23 has been postponed.
On Sunday, the Spartans had three additional positive COVID-19 tests among its Tier 1 testing groups, which includes players and staff members, freshman guard Davis Smith, strength and conditioning coach Marshall Repp and graduate manager Lourawls "TumTum" Nairn Jr.
MSU's game at Iowa on Jan. 14 and against Indiana on Jan. 17 were postponed after positive tests last week from three players, graduate student Joshua Langford, sophomore Steven Izzo and freshman Mady Sissoko.
The schools will work with the Big Ten Conference to identify options for rescheduling the contest. No final decision has been made on games beyond Jan. 23.
