Duel in the D Scheduled for Feb. 12

DETROIT -- The Michigan Wolverines and the Michigan State Spartan ice hockey teams will face off four times this season culminating in the return of the Duel in the D at Little Caesars Arena on Saturday, February 12.
The teams will play at Munn Arena in East Lansing on November 6 and play twice at Yost Ice Arena in Ann Arbor, on November 5 and February 11 before the battle for the Iron D in Detroit on February 12.
The "Duel in the D" matchup features the most-played (and perhaps the fiercest) rivalry in college hockey.
The "Iron D" Trophy features a forged iron "D" at its center to symbolize the city of Detroit, while the skyline of Hockeytown wraps around the base, including an image of Little Caesars Arena placed at the center. A large cup rests atop the trophy and hockey sticks, a red glass puck and the logos of Michigan and Michigan State line the sides of the trophy. The trophy was designed and built by Erik and Israel Nordin at their studio, the Detroit Design Center.
Tickets sales through Little Caesars Arena and the Spartan ticket office will be announced at a later date. .
