Men's Tennis Completes Big Ten Indoors

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State men's tennis wrapped up its hosting of the Big Ten Indoor Tournament on Sunday, playing in the final rounds of doubles action and consolation singles matches.
In the morning's doubles play, Kazuki Matsuno and Nick Williams competed against Robin Parts and Jared Pratt of Wisconsin in the West bracket finals. The Spartan pair fell 6-4 to the Badgers. Luke Baylis and Carson Gates played in the North finals, also falling 6-4 to a duo from Northwestern.
In an extra doubles match in Northwest bracket, Reed Crocker and Max Sheldon defeated their foes from Purdue 7-6 (3) to give the Spartans their lone doubles victory of the day.
In singles competition, Max Sheldon won in an afternoon match against Michael Andre of Indiana. The freshman defeated his opponent in straight sets, 6-2 6-3.Crocker went into a three-set battle against Purdue's Cossu, winning the second set 6-4 but ultimately falling 6-1 and 10-8 in the deciding sets.
