Michigan State Athletics Celebrates the Class of 2021

Nearly 110 Spartan student-athletes have completed work on their degrees this spring and are scheduled to participate in commencement exercises this weekend (April 30-May 2). Michigan State University is holding more than 50 in-person and two virtual commencement ceremonies for the spring 2021 graduating class.
"Earning a diploma is one of life's great successes," Michigan State Vice President and Director of Athletics Bill Beekman said. "It's truly been a unique year and still our Spartans have excelled in the classroom, setting academic records along the way. Their ability to persevere and succeed in pursuit of their degree is cause for celebration. On behalf of the entire athletic department, I offer our heartiest congratulations to each and every graduate."
"Our staff and coaches are extremely proud of this resilient group of Spartan graduates," Executive Director of Student-Athlete Support Services Todd Edwards said. "Their discipline and commitment to the protocols, procedures, schedule changes and all that's been asked of them these past 14 months is a testament to the values which have been forged in their development as student-athletes. Thank you to the parents, families and friends who have supported them along the journey. The Class of 2021 will always be remembered for staying the course, even when the storm was raging and clear skies seemed far away. Congratulations to all!"
