EAST LANSING – The Michigan State men's golf team will return to Indiana this weekend for the Boilermaker Invitational, April 10-11, in West Lafayette, Indiana. The Spartans are coming off a win last weekend at the Hoosier Collegiate Invitational.
The teams are scheduled to play 36 holes on Saturday and then the final round on Sunday.

Pierce Morrissey and Zach Rosendale will be playing as individuals in the Boilermaker Individual at the Akerman-Allen Course.

THE TOURNAMENT
Michigan State will be making its 10th appearance in what will be the 17th edition of the Boilermaker Invitational. MSU won the event in 2007 with Ryan Brehm also taking medalist honors. The Spartans last played in the event in 2017 when they tied for 11th place.

"After getting our first win of the season, it is really important that we stay hungry heading to Purdue. The Kampen Course is a great test of golf and we are playing against a lot of good programs. We need to carry our momentum with us because I believe we are playing well across the lineup."
THE SPARTANS
James Piot was named the Big Ten Golfer of the Week on Thursday for the second straight week … Piot claimed medalist honors for the third time in his career in leading the Spartans to the team title at the Hoosier Collegiate Invitational … The Spartans win at last week's Hoosier Invite marked the third time in five events this season that they have placed in the top three … MSU has finished in the top five in four of five tournaments this season … Piot leads MSU with a 71.0 average, followed by Andrew Walker at 72.3.
