Men’s Basketball Schedule for 2021-22 Season Announced

East Lansing, Michigan – Michigan State's men's basketball schedule for the 2021-22 season, presented by Rocket Mortgage, was announced on Wednesday, featuring 11 non-conference dates and the full 20-game Big Ten slate.

MSU will play both home and away against Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Northwestern, Penn State and Wisconsin.

Big Ten opponents to visit the Breslin Center include Indiana, Nebraska and Purdue, while the Spartans will play road games against Iowa, Ohio State and Rutgers.

MSU will play a pair of exhibition games at the Breslin Center, against Ferris State (Oct. 27) and Grand Valley State (Nov. 4).

The Spartans open the 2021-22 regular season next Tuesday, Nov. 9, playing Kansas in the Champions Classic at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Big Ten Conference play begins on Wednesday, Dec. 8 at Minnesota, with the conference home opener on Saturday, Dec. 11 against Penn State.

Times and television for some non-conference games and all Big Ten contests will be announced at a later date.
