The Spartans, ranked No. 14 in the country in the Associated Press poll and No. 13 in the ESPN Coaches poll, split a pair games last week and are 14-3 overall and 5-1 in the Big Ten.
In a pair of games last week, Christie averaged 11.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 blocks as the Spartans beat Minnesota (71-69) and lost to Northwestern (64-62). He scored 16 points with five rebounds and four assists in the win over Minnesota.
The freshman leads MSU in minutes played (30.7) and has scored in double figures eight times this year. Christie is second on the team in scoring with 10.4 points per game, while adding 3.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists.
Michigan State hits the road for its next two games, starting on Friday, Jan. 21 with a visit to No. 8 Wisconsin. Tipoff at the Kohl Center is slated for 9 p.m. (ET) and the game will air live on FS1.
