East Lansing -- Michigan State had two players honored with Big Ten Three Stars honors this week – graduate student Dylan St. Cyr (Northville, Mich.) and freshman Karsen Dorwart (Sherwood, Ore.).
St. Cyr earned the First Star honors for the second time this season. He made 69 saves on 72 shots against in a weekend sweep of Miami, including 39 saves in a 4-0 shutout in the series finale. He has now earned Big Ten Star honors in two consecutive weeks, gathering Third Star kudos this week and Second Star after the weekend split at Penn State.
Michigan State returns to Big Ten play this weekend with a series at Munn Ice Arena against No. 4/1 Minnesota, which sits just one point ahead of the Spartans in first place in the B1G. Games are Friday at 6:30 pm and Saturday at 6 pm.
