EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State rowing Head Coach Kim Chavers and her staff will host 'Learn to Row' summer camps next month beginning on June 6.
The camps are co-ed and open to rising eighth graders up to graduating seniors. No prior rowing experience is necessary, as the camp's aim is to teach local athletes about the sport. In addition, campers will gain the opportunity to learn from Division I coaches and student-athletes and row with them out on the Grand River.
Three sessions are available to sign up for: June 6-9, June 13-16 and June 20-23. The four-day camps are held at the MSU Varsity Women's Boathouse, located at Grand River Park in Lansing, and will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.
