Big Ten Announces 2022-23 Women’s Basketball Home and Away Opponents

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State women's basketball and the Big Ten Conference announced the 2022-23 conference breakdown on Thursday.

For the second-straight season, the Big Ten will play an 18-game schedule, after playing a 20-game schedule during the 2020-21 campaign. The conference also played an 18-game league schedule in both 2018-19 and 2019-20.
Michigan State will play in-state rival Michigan, along with Maryland, Penn State, Purdue and Wisconsin in home-and-home contests. At the Breslin Center, MSU will play host to Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota and Rutgers. On the road, the Spartans will face Illinois, Nebraska, Northwestern and Ohio State.

The 2022-23 Big Ten season will conclude March 3-5 with the 30th Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament, which will be held at Target Center in Minneapolis. The 2022 NCAA Women's Final Four will be held in Dallas, Texas at American Airlines Arena from March 31-April 2.
Last season, Michigan State went 15-15, including an 8-9 record in Big Ten action. The Spartans return two starters in All-Big Ten and All-Freshman honorees DeeDee Hagemann and Matilda Ekh. Michigan State welcomes back a total of eight letterwinners from last year's squad.
