Three More Spartans Make Summer League All-Star Teams

Jebb, Terres and Thompson garner accolades.
EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Three additional Michigan State baseball players have been selected to their summer league All-Star teams.
Mitch Jebb, Jayden Terres and newcomer Sam Thompson have recently been named to All-Star teams for their respective teams.Â
Jebb plays in the Cap Cod League with the Hyannis Harbor Hawks, and was selected to the West Division All-Star Team. The 2022 Cape Cod League All-Star Game will be held at Wareham's Spillane Field on July 23. Jebb currently has a .293 average with four doubles and two triples in 26 games, as Hyannis has 12 regular-season games remaining.Â
Terres played in the Ripken Experience Summer Collegiate League with the Palmetto Pirates, and finished their season last week with a 9-14-1 record. In playing all 24 games, Terres hit .338 with four doubles and seven RBI, scoring 17 runs and swiping 20 stolen bases.
Spartan newcomer Sam Thompson was a 2022 Sunbelt Baseball League All-Star, playing with the Atlanta Crackers. The Sunbelt All-Star Game was on Sunday, July 17 in Oxford, Alabama, and Thompson was on the American League Team, helping them to a 4-1 win over the National League Team. In regular-season action, Thompson is hitting .281 in 20 games with five doubles, seven RBI and two stolen bases.
Jebb, Terres and Thompson joined Jacob Anderson, Sam Busch, Nick Powers and Brock Vradenburg, who all garnered All-Star honors for their respective teams earlier this summer. Anderson, Busch and Powers played in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League All-Star game, while Vradenburg played in the Coastal Plain League All-Star game.
