
MSU Soccer’s Tyler Crawford Signs Professional Contract

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Former Michigan State men's soccer player Tyler Crawford has signed with the One Pro Sports Management agency based out of Canada to begin his professional soccer career.
Crawford, a forward from Lutz, Florida, played in all 16 games for the Spartans in 2022, starting 12. He played a full 90 minutes in four games this season. Crawford earned his first collegiate point with an assist in Michigan State's win against Chicago State on Sept. 12.
"We are excited and happy for Tyler in achieving a life-long dream of becoming a professional soccer player. Tyler has a bright future and a very high ceiling as to where pro soccer can take him," MSU head coach Damon Rensing said. "The MSU soccer program's goal is to compete and win championships, while providing our student athletes the opportunity to achieve their dreams, whether its in professional soccer or other endeavors with a Michigan State University degree. We are happy that we could help provide this opportunity for Tyler. Congrats to him and the entire Crawford family."
Crawford came to Michigan State as a product of the Columbus Crew Academy. He has experience representing Canada, as he played for the Canadian U20 National Team in April of 2022. Crawford played in two games against Costa Rica.
"I want to thank all my teammates, coaches and staff for an enjoyable time here at Michigan State," Crawford said. "I'm grateful for all the memories I made with this team on and off the pitch and I also want to thank the Red Cedar Rowdies for always making our games exciting! I'm excited for this next step in my career and I'll forever be grateful for the opportunity that Michigan State gave me."
