Men’s Basketball Ranked No. 4 in Associated Press Preseason Poll

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State's men's basketball team was ranked No. 4 in the country in the Associated Press Preseason Top 25 poll, which was released on Monday afternoon.
The Spartans return four starters and 11 letterwinners from last year's team, including guards Tyson Walker and A.J. Hoggard, who were selected to the Preseason All-Big Ten team. MSU also welcomes in a recruiting class that was ranked No. 5 in the country by 247 Sports.
Michigan State opens the 2023-24 season on Wednesday, Oct. 25, hosting Hillsdale College in an exhibition game at the Breslin Center at 7 p.m. The Spartans will also take on Sunday, Oct. 29 Tennessee at 3:30 p.m. in a Maui Relief Charity Game.
The Spartans open the regular season at home against James Madison on Monday, Nov. 6 at 8:30 p.m.
