Four in Double Figures as Michigan State Beats Hillsdale, 85-43

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State opened up a 27-point lead at halftime, had four players score in double figures and 12 score at least one point in an 85-43 exhibition win over Hillsdale College on Wednesday night at the Breslin Center.
Sophomore center Carson Cooper led the way with 13 points and seven rebounds, while graduate guard Tyson Walker added 13 points and a team-high seven rebounds.
Junior guard Jaden Akins added 10 points, six rebounds and three steals and freshman forward Coen Carr scored 12 points with three rebound and two blocks.

Michigan State plays its second exhibition game before the start of the regular season on Sunday, Oct. 29, hosting No. 9 Tennessee at the Breslin Center (3:30 p.m., BTN). All proceeds from the game will benefit the Maui Strong Fund, following the wildfires in Hawaii in August.
