East Lansing, Mich. -- Michigan State prepares for its final weekend of racing prior to the Big Ten Championships, and is headed east to Worcester, Mass to participate in Women's Sprints.Â

Eighteen schools will be represented in the event, with racing in seven classes: Varsity Eights, Second Varsity Eights, Third Varsity Eights, Fourth Varsity Eights, Varsity Four A, Varsity Four B, and Varsity Four C. The Spartans will line up in all seven, with the novice boats racing in the third and fourth varsity eight races.Â
Â
The raceday starts at 8 am and goes off in 10-minute centers, with three each heats in the Varsity Eights, Second Varsity Eights, Third Varsity Eights, and Varsity Four A; the Varsity Four B will have two heats, while the limited number of entries in the Fourth Varsity Eights and Varsity Four C will advance directly to midday Grand Finals. Grand, Petite, and Third-Level finals will be contested in the second session, which will commence at 1:25 pm after the 4V8 and V4C races.Â

The field features five ranked crews, No. 5 Brown, No. 10 Syracuse, No. 15 Harvard-Radcliffe, No. 18 Rutgers, and No. 20 Columbia; also receiving votes in this week's POCOCK/CRCA poll is Boston University.   Rounding out the crews in addition to MSU are Cornell, Georgetown, Marist, Northeastern, Rhode Island, Boston College, Colgate, Dartmouth, Drexel, UMass, and Temple.

In each set of three heats, the top two finishers advance to the Grand Final, the next two to the Petite Final, and the fifth and sixth-place finishers will race in the Third-level Finals in the afternoon.Â
